We love our coaches and we know that they are volunteering their time, effort and energy for our league and players. We are grateful for their support and could not run our organization without their participation.
In order to become a coach and stand on the sidelines during games and facilitate practices, Ohio North Youth Soccer Association has mandatory requirements that we must follow in order to insure our coaches and players. All of this is with the best interest of our player in mind.
Steps to Become a Coach:
SafeSport Training: This became a requirement in 2019 and is designed to help you to recognize if an athlete is being abused. Most importantly, you will learn how to prevent this from happening or how to respond and help if the abuse has already happened. By taking this training, you are a part of our daily effort to make athlete well-being the centerpiece of our nation’s sport programs. Thank you for helping us champion respect, and end abuse in sport.
This is a very comprehensive review of three important units for coaches. Completing this training requires at least 90-minutes with engaged interaction of pre-tests, videos, multiple scenarios, and post-tests. Because you login to this training, you are able to exit the training and return at a later time to complete it. This training is good for 2-years.
