Kirtland Youth Soccer

FAQs

What is Youth Soccer?  Our youth soccer program is for ages 4 to 11 who are interested in playing soccer.  We accept all skill levels and experience is not necessary.

When does the season start and end?  Registration for U10 & U12 youth soccer includes both fall and spring sessions.  Fall session for all divisions will begin in August and runs through the middle of October.  Spring session starts in April and runs until mid May.  There is no additional cost for spring session and your child will be on the same team as the fall. U8 plays in the spring via a separating registration. U6 does not play in the spring.

When are games and practices?  Most games will be on Saturdays but there may be some weeknight games as well.  Practices are decided by the individual coach based on their availability.

How do I register?  If you do not already have a Sports Engine account, then you’ll need to create one during registration.  Once you have an account and add your child as a participant, you will be able to see the available programs based on his or her birth date.  Choose the program you are interested in and follow the program through to payment.  You will receive a confirmation email from Sports Engine when the registration is complete.

What if I want to request a specific coach or teammate?  This can be requested via email to info@kirtlandsoccer.com We cannot guarantee that all requests will be granted.

When will I hear about team placement?  Team announcements will be received by email at the end of July.  Team schedules will be posted via Sports Engine.

How can I volunteer to be a coach or an assistant coach?  During registration there is a question regarding coaching.  Choose which volunteer positions you are interested in and you will be contacted.  Volunteer coaches are vital to making our program a success.  Please consider volunteering or finding out more about volunteer opportunities within our league.

Does my child get a uniform?  All players will receive a jersey and socks.  You will need to supply navy blue shorts, shin guards, water bottle, and soccer ball.  Soccer cleats are not mandatory in U6, but are required for U8, U10 and U12 divisions.
